Mapping foreign immigration in Spain (1998–2018). Trends and spatial patterns

The last 20 years of sociodemographic history in Spain cannot be interpreted without considering the impact foreign immigration, numerous publications have shown. aim this article is to contribute a clear spatial representation migrants by combining statistical and mapping methods. Maps showing rate variation immigrant populations point existence an uneven distribution around Spain, during both period economic growth when migratory flows waned. On other hand, clusters show that certain geographic areas attract specific groups; extent their presence can seen on density maps based location coefficients. In short, provides understanding immigration which approaches not achieved.
